Jianqiang (Jason) Zhao

Welcome to my website! I am a Ph.D. candidate in Applied Economics and Management at Cornell University. My research focuses on food economics, agribusiness management, and agri-food value chains in the US. I have served as the editorial assistant for Food Policy since 2023. 

My projects explore the interrelationship between US food security, the use of domestic food and nutrition assistance programs, and food markets in the US. Additionally, I conduct research concerning food retailing and public policies, such as sales taxes on food products.

I am on the job market in the 2024-2025 academic year.
